Santo Tirso
The Santo Tirso station is located about 1,5 km far from the town centre. The station equipment is very simple but is also sufficient. There is a waiting room (closes at 20 o´clock) and café with almost all day opening hours. There is also possible to buy tickets for the urban trains in the café. Passengers use much more frequently the ticket machine on the first platform.
The station has two fully roofed platforms but a major part of trains arrives to the first platform. Only trains Porto-Santo Tirso that terminate here arrive to the second platform. One of the biggest advantages of this station is large parking place by the main building. But passengers who don´t know the situation here will be probably surprised at no possibility to take bus from the station to the town centre. The bus station of Santo Tirso is located about 2km far from the railway station so passengers have to use other kinds of transport (taxi) to get there for transfer.
